Check the two parent animals
The parents must be mature animals of the same species and different sexes. A full building with unrelated animals does not create an offspring unless the pairing and maturity conditions are correct.
Check the animal panel before buying a treat. This avoids spending money on a pairing that cannot breed or has not reached the required heart level.
Buy and feed Heart Shaped Treats
Hayden's Shop sells the Heart Shaped Treat used for breeding. Buy the version that matches the animal species, then feed one treat to each eligible parent.
Feeding one parent is not enough. If the breeding interaction does not register, check both hearts, both sexes, maturity, and whether the building has an open space.
Wait for the offspring
The current reference uses about four in-game days for the birth or hatch cycle. Keep the Barn or Coop available during the wait and avoid moving the parents into an incompatible setup.
If the cycle does not progress, check whether the building is full, the parents still meet the condition, or a Mod changes animal production and breeding data.
What animal color changes
Breeding is useful for getting more animals and rare colors. The color is a visual result; it does not change the product value or production period in the current reference.
Choose breeding for collection, expansion, or appearance rather than assuming a rare color is a higher-profit animal. The farm routine and available building space remain the real constraints.
Common animal-breeding mistakes
A breeding pair must be adult animals of the same species with different sexes, enough Hearts, and room in the Barn or Coop. Feeding only one parent or filling the building prevents the expected result.
Confirm the species-specific Heart Shaped Treat and the current building space before spending Tesserae. Color is an appearance goal in the current reference, not a faster production cycle.
