The four seasonal fish
Spring has Cherry Fish, Summer has Lightning Fish, Fall has Leaf Fish, and Winter has Snow Fish. The season tells you which target is possible, but it does not replace the perk and morning-signal requirements.
Keep the English names visible when comparing a guide to the game interface. A translated description can explain the route, while the in-game name confirms which collection entry you are pursuing.

Wait for the morning signal
The legendary route begins with the morning signal. If it does not appear, spending the whole day checking ponds and rivers is not an efficient way to force the encounter.
Once the signal appears, go to the correct seasonal water area and focus on the shadow size. Bring space for catches and avoid turning a collection attempt into an inventory problem.
Protect the museum copy
Legendary Fish belong to the Fish Wing collection. Donate only after confirming that the catch is the intended target and that no active request needs the same item.
Because each type is limited in the reference rules, do not sell or cook the only copy for convenience. Record which season and target are complete before planning the next attempt.
Common mistakes
The most common mistakes are fishing before unlocking the Legendary Perk, searching in the wrong season, and treating a normal large shadow as proof of a legendary fish. The morning clue is part of the condition.
If the signal and catch do not match the guide, check the current patch and the water area first. Then verify that no Mod changes fishing tables or collection data.
Protect the one-per-save collection
The current reference treats each Legendary Fish as a limited catch in a save. Check the Fish Wing and any active request before selling, cooking, or using the only copy as a test.
Once a seasonal target is secured, note the completed season and keep the next route separate. A normal large shadow or ordinary weather is not a substitute for the Legendary Perk and morning signal.
