What is playable today
The confirmed PC route is a single-player game through Steam. The store and official material do not provide a built-in online, local, or cross-platform co-op mode to plan around.
Steam Cloud or family sharing should not be confused with multiplayer. They address account, device, or library access rather than two players sharing one farm.
Why multiplayer Mods are a separate question
A community Mod can change the technical possibilities, but it is not an official mode and may depend on a specific patch, loader, or save format. The presence of a download does not prove that it is safe, supported, or compatible with Steam Deck.
If you test a third-party tool, make a separate save backup and read the author's version notes. Do not put a unique main save at risk to test an unconfirmed multiplayer workflow.
What about consoles and cross-platform saves?
