Copper Ore is Liked and comes from Copper Nodes in the Upper Mines; carry a spare on your next trip to the Blacksmith. A Perfect Copper Ore is a separate Loved artifact, not ordinary ore with a better label. Save the first specimen if your museum still needs it. Before the next event
At eight hearts, check your deepest unlocked mine floor before waiting outside the Blacksmith. March's invitation is delivered by Olric at your farmhouse after you pass floor 60. It is not another ordinary letter appointment. Finish urgent harvesting, processing and travel plans the day before; this event returns you at midnight, although animal feeding and petting are handled for you.
For the earlier four-heart invitation, look for Olric's letter Blacksmithing Buddies rather than a letter signed by March. The request is Many Hands Make Light Work. Matching the sender, letter title and quest name prevents a missing-letter search from sending you back to gift grinding after you already have enough hearts.
