Valen Doctor, Gifts, Birthday & Romance Guide
Use the Clinic as your starting point, then plan beet dishes, seafood, or artifacts around Valen's birthday and relationship events.
Direct answer
Valen is the doctor who works at the Clinic and has a Fall 1 birthday. She is a 1.0 marriage candidate, so conversation, gifts, letters, and relationship events can lead to dating and marriage. Her useful gift lane is beet dishes, seafood, and artifacts; the Clinic schedule and current story state matter when an event does not appear.

Choose a gift you can obtain
Beet is a Loved gift and a practical Winter crop: buy Beet Seeds at the General Store for 25t, plant and water them for four days, then give the harvested Beet, not the seeds. Balor's 160t Beet is a separate, conditional finished-crop purchase; rotating stock is not guaranteed. For Fall 1, save a Beet from the previous Winter or choose another item below.

Heart events: conditions and next step
Complete the preceding heart event first. Read the invitation and accept its quest; hearts alone do not complete a scene.
| Hearts | Quest / invitation | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | The Annual Check-Up | Accept the request on the Request Board, then visit Clinic. |
| 4 | Batch 312 · Medicinal Research | Read the letter, accept the quest, then visit Clinic. Bring: Peat. |
| 6 | An Outside Consultant · Research Assistance | Read the letter, accept the quest, then visit Bathhouse. |
| 8 | The Panacea · Cliffblossom Search | Read the letter, accept the quest, then visit Western Ruins. |
| 10 | Engagement Ring | While Dating, hold an Engagement Ring and choose Discuss. Proposal is optional; the scene takes you to Western Ruins. Bring: Engagement Ring. |
Where to meet them
Use the meeting place in the accepted quest above for an event visit. For an ordinary gift, check the character's live portrait on the map before travelling: season, rain, Friday Inn events, festivals, dates and marriage can change the route. Building opening hours are not a promise that the character stays inside all day.
Before the next event
For Batch 312, reserve one Peat instead of selling every digging result. Peat can appear while searching artifact dig spots; use the shovel and check your storage before setting out. Read Medicinal Research and bring the requested material to Valen at the Clinic. Ordinary conversation or giving Peat as a daily gift does not replace completing the accepted quest.
An Outside Consultant moves the meeting to the Bathhouse, while The Panacea sends you to the Western Ruins. Returning to the Clinic for every scene can therefore leave the route stalled even at the correct heart level. At ten hearts, the ring discussion opens the proposal scene; finishing the eight-heart scene and selecting Dating comes first.
