Fields of Mistria Mines Guide
Reach each five-floor elevator checkpoint first, then decide whether the next room is worth your remaining time, stamina, and health.
Direct answer
The Fields of Mistria mines open after reaching Town Rank Stone and completing Unlocking The Mines. Your first priority on every run is a new elevator checkpoint, available every five floors. Leave inventory space, bring reliable recovery, and return to the surface before time, stamina, or health turns the run into a save-risking emergency.

Unlock the mines
Reach Town Rank Stone and complete Unlocking The Mines before planning a deep run. If the entrance is not active, verify the town-rank and quest state rather than looking for a hidden floor.
Once open, treat the elevator as the progress system. A run that reaches a new five-floor checkpoint can be more valuable than a risky attempt to clear every room in one day.
Prioritize elevator checkpoints
Every five floors provides an elevator checkpoint. Use the first part of a run to reach the next checkpoint, then decide whether your remaining supplies justify deeper exploration.
This approach reduces repeated travel and makes a failed run less costly. It also gives you a clear stopping point when your inventory, stamina, or health is no longer comfortable.
Prepare inventory, recovery, and time
Leave space for ore, artifacts, fish, or quest materials before entering. Carry recovery that matches your current combat and mining depth, and avoid spending the last usable item before a dangerous room.
Time is a resource as well as stamina. Return to the surface while you still have a safe route home; staying for one more room is not worth losing a day or risking a save when the reward is uncertain.
Read the five mine zones as progression
The current reference groups the mines into five zones of 20 floors each. Deeper zones introduce different resources and risks, so keep the floor and area name with any item note you save.
When an old guide gives a different floor, check whether it describes Early Access, a changed seal quest, or a different zone naming convention. The current client and linked source take priority.
| Order | Zone | Range |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Upper Mines | 20 floors |
| 2 | Tide Caverns | 20 floors |
| 3 | Deep Earth | 20 floors |
| 4 | Lava Caves | 20 floors |
| 5 | Ancient Ruins | 20 floors |
Set a hard stop for health, stamina, and time
The Mines consume health, stamina, inventory space, and the in-game clock at the same time. Leave room for one unexpected fight, a safe route home, and the items you entered to find.
If any one of those margins disappears, return to the surface. An elevator checkpoint preserves long-term progress; it is not worth losing a day or a save to force one more room.
Sort ores, gems, and artifacts before selling
Keep separate storage for the first museum copy, known upgrade or quest materials, and safe duplicates. Ore can feed tools, equipment, crafting, and town work long after its first sale looks attractive.
A resident's Loved preference does not override a museum or recipe need. Check the current request, collection marker, and crafting list before turning a rare drop into quick Tesserae.
